Senior Mechanical Designer
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas
Provide technical design support in the development of products, fixtures, tooling, special machinery, or other assigned projects that will result in increasing productivity, improving reliability or enhancing product quality. Generate solid models for manufacturing tooling and fixtures along with detailed dimensioned drawings. Create mechanical drawings to support product development by reviewing sketches, descriptions, specifications, and supporting documents as well as by conferring with engineers. Design parts based on written and verbal descriptions from engineers. Supervises the progress of new product prototypes and testing.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of relevant design experience. Design experience from concept to completion preferred. A two or four year technical degree is preferred.
- Proficient in solid modeling, Inventor preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes such as die casting, machine & fabricated parts and injection molding.
